You then pass through the Coll de Josa (2nd category – 1,615m), a 4.7 km ascent that remains tough before entering the Sierra del Cadí area. Almost without respite we reached the Colada Sovereign (1st category – 1,215m), located at km 119.4. Its 7.1 km at 6.5% will serve to select the group of favorites before the descent towards Guardiola de Berguedà y Baga. The final ‘colossus’ is the Coll de Pal (special category). It is the great protagonist of the day and one of the longest and most demanding passes in all of Catalonia. It culminates in 2.085 metros of altitude after an endless ascent of 18.9 km. The average slope is 7.0% with ramps that reach 14%. Being such a long pass, strength management and the altitude factor (the 2,000m barrier is once again surpassed) will be key to not fainting in the last kilometers.
