The Danish cyclist Court Magnus Nielsen (Uno-X) has been the winner of the second stage of the Volta a Catalunya 2026 with an end in Banyoles in the second arrival to the sprint of the Catalan round after a day with a very similar pattern to the first daya breakaway with five runners who challenged a peloton, which again, avoided surprises to take the race to a massive finish.

It was not until the last kilometer that Liam Slock ended his adventure while the Dane Court Magnus Nielsen emerged as the fastest of the group to sign the victory in the stage in the second consecutive sprint of this Volta a Catalunya.

The French Dorian Godon, fourth in the stage, remains leader of the general classificationwith the same time as Court Nielsen himself while Remco Evenepoel is third, four seconds behind the Frenchman.
