Disappointed with Xavi Hernández for having allowed himself to be used by Font, like Mateu Alemany, by accusing him of having frustrated Leo Messi’s return to Barça in 2023, Laporta reaffirms its decision to have dispensed with its services as a coach because “with the same players, with Xavi we lost and with Hansi Flick we won”.
