In the last transfer markets, the Gunners invested close to 300 million euros to reinforce Mikel Arteta’s squad and will now have to adapt to comply with UEFA requirements regarding financial fair play and salary caps.
To achieve this, the London club’s board knows that they must sell at least one top player and the great candidates to leave are Ben White y Gabriel Martinelli.
White is 28 years old and has a market value of around 30 million euros.so releasing him can alleviate the Gunners’ finances. In the current season he played 19 games and scored one goal, against Chelsea to win the EFL Cup semi-final first leg at Stamford Bridge 3-2. In total he has 179 games and seven goals.
For its part, Martinelli is 24 years old and has a market value, according to Transfermarkt, of 45 million euros. His presence in the next World Cup with the Brazilian team is practically a fact and that could increase the cost of an eventual transfer, as long as his performance in the World Cup lives up to expectations.
Arsenal leads the Premier League with a seven-point difference and is close to ending the bad streak of more than two decades without claiming champion of the English league, although the great objective appears on the continental level, where they have great chances of breaking the spell and becoming European champions for the first time in their rich history.
