According to Opta’s hypothetical AI exercise, the three that would lose the category would be West Ham, Burnley and Wolverhampton, with Nottingham Forest narrowly escaping. If the artificial intelligence prediction is true, the Wolves would be saved from breaking Derby County’s negative record for the fewest points in a season (11), a mark that they could have equaled on this day if it had not been for Crystal Palace’s agonizing goal.
Both Manchester United and Liverpool would be on the verge of entering the UEFA Champions League by standings, although they could enter if an English club wins this competition or the UEFA Europa League.
Currently, Arsenal is the leader of the standings with 61 points, surpassing Manchester City by five points at the end of matchday 27 of the competition, although the Gunners have one more game ahead of matchday 31, which they played against Wolves.
