Signing for Real Madrid is a real dream, but when you become a legend and something doesn’t work out in your private life, everything can get complicated. This is the argument of Goal II: Living the Dreama film directed by Jaume Collet-Sierra that tells the story of Santiago Muñez, a soccer player who joins Real Madrid from Los Galácticos. In the film there are several shots of the players from that squad, such as David Beckham, Robinho o Zidane playing the games Champions League 2005-06 against Olympiakos, Rosenborg and finally, the Arsenal.

In fiction, Real Madrid managed to winbut nothing could be further from the truth. In real life, Arsenal managed to win 0-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu with a brilliant performance by Thierry Henry and in the second leg the score was kept at zero, moving on to the grand final. In the last match for the trophy they played against Rijkaard’s Barcelona who came back with a goal from Belletti ten minutes from the end.

In the 24/25 season, the confrontation between the two was repeated (that time in the quarterfinals) and the outcome. Arsenal beat the whites 1-5 on aggregate in the tie and in the semi-finals they met the PSGthe winner of the Champions League. Next Saturday the 30th both will face each other for the first time in a final and the winner will have one of the best ‘movies’.
