The Gunners, who aspire to a historic double if they win the Champions League against PSG, aspire to renew coach Mikel Arteta’s contract and intend to be very active in the summer transfer market.
“Business never stops,” Josh Kroenke warned on ‘NBC Sports’.
Arsenal’s targets in the transfer market are a defender, a midfielder and a striker: “We already have the Premier League trophy. I sense a different spirit in the group and I’m excited to see what this group of coaches and players can achieve with so much freedom. So we have to take that into account. We have already spoken several times about different areas that we think we can improve, both on and off the field, and we hope to put it into action this summer.”
“Right now there are other teams that are already trying to strengthen themselves to compete with us next season. So we must take that into account,” he warned.
American businessman Josh Kroenke believes that “it’s going to be an interesting season because of the World Cup, but luckily everyone is coming to the United States, so for once I don’t have to travel.”
“My father is the owner of the club. Sometimes they call me the owner and I tell them that, as far as I know, my father is still the owner. I just try to be his eyes and ears. When I’m there, I try to analyze everything, but above all, the culture of the club, who does what,” he clarified.
Declan Rice, the helm of Arsenal’s midfield, is clear: “Is this the start of a dynasty? I hope so. We deserve it.”
“Arsenal has been moving in the right direction for years, and I am sure we will stay at the top,” he ventured.
