Martín Zubimendi, midfielder of the Arsenal, assured that the Atlético de Madrid “is going to leave everything” but at this point all the rivals are going to be difficult.
The Spaniard spoke to the media in the mixed zone at the Emirates Stadium after sealing his place in the Champions League semi-finals for the second consecutive year.
From this round onwards all teams are difficult. In the other box they are also difficult. Anyone would have been just as complicated.
“Complicated from start to finish. They don’t care what the result is, they are going to give it all up. They have players with tremendous technical and physical ability,” said ZUbimendi.
“From this round onwards, all the teams are difficult. In the other draw they are also difficult. Anyone would have been equally difficult,” added the Basque midfielder.
Arsenal are alive in two competitions, the Premier League and the Champions League, but they entered this quarterfinal round with a streak of three defeats in four games.
“It has been hard as a group and personally. They are games every three days and when you are injured you have to recover quickly and today is a demonstration of that.”
