Carolina Mar\u00edn<\/strong> is among those registered for the Badminton European Championships 2026<\/strong>which will be held in Huelva from April 6 to 12 with more than 200 athletes from more than twenty countries.<\/p>\n The Spanish Badminton Federation has reported that the Huelva athlete you have received an invitation<\/strong> to be part of the women’s singles draw if she manages to recover in time to compete in her hometown and in the sports palace that bears her name.<\/p>\n In February, Carolina Mar\u00edn underwent a new intervention on the right knee<\/strong>which requires a recovery period of six weeks, so your participation is at risk. <\/p>\n The Andalusian has indicated on more than one occasion that her desire was to put an end to her career in this European Championship in Huelva. In his record he has seven titles in this competition<\/strong>in addition to an Olympic gold in Rio 2016 and three World Championships. <\/p>\n The organization of the European Championship includes Mar\u00edn within the list of participants <\/strong>that are on the official list, which brings together the main figures of European badminton. However, the official draw for the men’s, women’s, doubles and mixed draws has yet to be held.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The women’s individual table, where in addition to Mar\u00edn there is the Spanish Clara Azurmendi<\/strong>there are athletes such as the Danish Mia Blichfeldt, Line Kj\u00e6rsfeldt, Line Christophersen and Julie Dawall Jakobsen, the Scottish Kirsty Gilmour, the Turkish Neslihan Ar\u0131n, the Ukrainian Polina Buhrova and the German Yvonne Li.<\/p>\n In the men’s competition, together with the Spanish \u00c1lvaro Leal and Pablo Abi\u00e1n<\/strong>three midfielders stand out who are currently positioned among the top ten in the world ranking: the Danish Anders Antonsen (number 3), the Frenchman Christo Popov (number 5) and his compatriot Alex Lanier (number 8). <\/p>\n The Frenchman Toma Junior Popov, the Danish Rasmus Gemke and the Irishman Nhat Nguyen also stand out on the list of participants.<\/p>\n Spain will have double representation in each of the doubles events.
